Investing Today. Building Hela's Future.
Creating enduring prosperity for the people of Hela — converting finite resource wealth into disciplined, long-term investments that last beyond oil and gas.
A generation's resource wealth, invested for every generation that follows.
Read our purposeA province investing in its own future.
Hela is a principal host of the PNG LNG project — but oil and gas are finite. Hela Investment Limited is the commercial investment arm of the Hela Provincial Government, created to convert that wealth, today, into productive assets that keep generating income for the people of Hela long after the resources are gone.
"Hela is a beneficiary of non-renewable resources, which will eventually run out. This investment is part of a deliberate policy to channel our revenue into sustainable projects — and it belongs to the people of Hela."
— Governor Philip Undialu, on the launch of the Hela Twin TowersA diversified portfolio, anchored by real assets.
We invest where returns are durable and the benefit to Hela is clear — beginning with commercial property that houses national institutions, and extending into energy, hospitality and future industries.

Why Hela Investment Limited exists
Hela hosts one of Papua New Guinea's largest resource projects. Our purpose is to make sure that wealth outlives the resource itself.
Born from a province determined to plan ahead.
Hela became a province of Papua New Guinea in 2012 and quickly became central to the national economy as a principal host of the PNG LNG project. Yet oil and gas are finite. Hela Investment Limited was created as the development and investment arm of the Hela Provincial Government to answer one question: what will sustain Hela once the resources are gone?
The answer was a deliberate policy — direct a fixed share of resource revenue into productive, long-term assets. The first result was the Hela 1 and 2 Twin Towers in Waigani: the province's first commercial real-estate investment and the start of a decade-long asset-building programme.
